The Role of the ELN in an Age of Austerity

Paper laboratory notebooks are no longer ‘fit for purpose’, and an electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) can deliver well-documented savings in time and effectiveness for any R&D-based organisation. The question is how can this be achieved in today’s cautious, value-focused climate.
