Industry Leaders Address Future of Oncology Drugs and Biotech Funding at
AAPS National Biotechnology Conference

26 March 2025 -- Virginia, US -- AAPS is excited to announce the opening and closing plenary speakers for the 2025 National Biotechnology Conference (NBC), taking place May 4-7 in Boston, MA.
Nikhil Munshi, M.D., Director of Basic and Correlative Science at Jerome Lipper Multiple Myeloma Center of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, will deliver the opening plenary on Sunday, May 4, at 3 p.m.
Dr. Munshi is an international leader in the oncology field. He completed fellowships at Johns Hopkins Oncology Center and Indiana University Medical Center.
Andrew Lo, Ph.D., a Charles E. and Susan T. Harris Professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management will examine the current state of biotech funding and future opportunities during the closing plenary on Wednesday, May 7, at 3 p.m. His current research examines new financial and business models for drug and device development and healthcare delivery.
Dr. Lo will also participate in the executive panel, “Developability and Due Diligence: How to Assess, Draw, and Sometimes End the Road(map) for New and Unusual Modalities,” scheduled for May 5 at 8 a.m. at the NBC.

The two plenaries bookend a scientific program that follows two tracks: Advances in Discovery, Formulation, and Delivery of New Modalities and Novel Strategies to Advance Biotherapeutic Development.
